“The Rest is Noise: Listening to the Twentieth Century” is a book by music critic Alex Ross. (I have to admit that tonight I heard of this book for the first time.)
The Kammerspiele in Munich adapted "The Rest is Noise" for a series of dramatic readings, a so-called marathon reading.
Tonight I saw the second installment of these series of readings – educational and entertaining. I was especially smitten with the confrontation between Brecht and Weil. But Brecht was played by one of my favorite actors at the Kammerspiele.
