A school friend of mine is in New York. He works for a big bank.
On Thursday we had lunch at Gotham Bar & Grill on 12th Street. Probably because of restaurant week it was extremely busy. We had a reservation, but we had to wait almost 30 minutes for our table.
I got a bit anxious, but my school friend remained polite and upbeat. I guess the banker turned out to be a better stoic than the novelist.
