Stop banking

Presently I’m teaching at the UvA (University of Amsterdam). The students are supposed to design a so-called urban game. This afternoon we played a prototype of the game; some things worked extremely well.
Later Jan Joris, global security architect at the ING Bank, gave a guest lecture about technology and privacy. (He spoke in private capacity!)
One of the main lessons: in order to fight cyber criminals the banks make us give up our privacy. All the banks use the same software and the software is very much penetrable by secret services. Of course we can stop banking, eh, no, we can’t.
