The launch of my mother’s book – afterwards we went to a kosher restaurant with my sister, my mother’s caregivers, my godson, his mother, friends of his mother, my mother’s regular driver who happens to be also my regular driver, his wife, my mother's masseur, his wife, and one of my oldest friends, as well as my sister's oldest girlfriend, they met in Kindergarten.
The kosher food turned out to be decent, which is rare for kosher food.
My mother’s masseur said over a lamb dish: “Your mother was fond of men.”
“I know,” I said. “But she could tolerate certain women as well.”
