Taste

Sleep

Saturday night, dinner at Agern in Grand Central Station.
The tasting menu lasted for four hours. (Hard to say of how many dishes the tasting menu consisted.) The food was mainly delicious. The service was slightly awkward.
Unlike other dinners we didn't get chocolates when we asked for the check (around 450 dollars for two people, tips are included). I guess some dinners at Agern are more equal than others. But then again, one of the dishes that consisted of nothing but potatoes was the best food I've eaten in two years.
So it was worth it. Even though halfway the tasting menu my beloved one fell almost asleep. "Let me sleep," she mumbled. "Please, let me sleep."
Excellence is never cheap and often time-consuming.
