Arnon Grunberg

Light

Towel

The pool in Reykjanes in the Westfjords was open, and steaming hot, but the hotel that reminded me of a hotel in provincial town in Poland in the 50's, was closed.
A man said tat we could go into the baths if we paid him 700 kronur and 300 kronur for the towels.
And he insisted: "First take a shower. And close the door otherwise little mice get in."
The bath was good, one of the better things in Iceland. Much better than the nordic light.
