This week I'm embedded with a (more or less) troubled teenager. Probably it's correct to say that she used to be troubled.
Instead of sending these teens to the juvenile justice system or placing them in a youth mental health clinic, a new system has been developed where the children work with a mentor.
The child will choose the mentor, at least that's the idea. In my case, the father was actively involved in choosing the mentor for his daughter.
Tonight, I'll be jogging with the teenager. She texted me: "Do you have workout clothes?"
