The uber-driver asked me: “How do you say ‘I love you’ in Dutch?” I answered him. He asked me if he could record it. "Of course,” I said.
Then he said “I love you” in Arabic, English, French, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, Filipino, Sinhalese, Greek, Chinese, German, Bengali and Romanian.
“Impressive,” I said.
“I can say 'I love you' in almost all the languages of the world. There are not too many drivers who can do that.”
I wanted to ask him a few other questions, but he kept repeating in German and English that he loved me.
