The charming waiter in restaurant Forma had beautiful eyes. “Are you Italian?” I asked.
(In the meantime he asked us if we wanted to watch the preparation of the pasta cacio e pepe, which was a slightly disappointing show.)
“I am,” he answered.
“What brings you to LA?”
“I have two kids,” he answered, “before LA I was in New York, but with kids LA is better.”
“Your wife is Italian?” I asked.
He nodded.
I could imagine that life in Italy would have been better than in LA, but needless to say, there are hopes, dreams, plans.
