An evening in a restaurant with a group of friends. We were told that the restaurant was going to close soon, forever.
“Maybe we should buy it,” I said to one of the friends, an actor. “You’ll do the cooking; I will greet the guests.”
“What will you say,” the actor asked. “Welcome? Every sentence you utter ends with a question mark. An appetizer? The check? Come back again? Your coat? Pasta? You can stay? Would you be so kind to leave? Last round?"
We laughed.
He was right, I love question marks.
