It has been a while since I went to the cocktailbar on the top floor of the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam.
The decor changed a bit, the cocktailbar turned into a rather upscale airport lounge, the clientele changed a bit as well.
Middle-aged men and women from the countryside, a few loners, an elderly tourist with a handsome woman in a red dress, the man looked like he had missed his connecting flight a couple of months ago, that was about it.
But the companionship of my guest made up for the rather bizarre atmosphere in what once was an interesting place to spend an evening.
