Most guests have already left the restaurant, the remaining diners appear to be family of the owner.
The waitress, who wears exactly the same clothes as on December 30, acts as if she is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. A woman with a young baby walks in and out the kitchen. Other children run in and out. Another woman smokes a cigarette outside, she is obviously waiting for somebody.
The fireworks in Lenzkirch, God is great, don’t last long. After less than half an hour the silence is restored.
On my question if Il Carpaccio is open on January 1st the man who is probably the owner of the restaurant answers: “Yes, of course, what else?”
