The interviewer tonight at the reading here in Stuttgart, an intelligent lady named Frau Saalfeld, made me laugh when she inquired about the animal in man. I tried to explain that the inner beast is not necessarily something negative, that without the inner beast there would be probably no reproduction, or at least no reproduction to speak of.
Frau Saalfeld seemed to doubt this notion. She asked me if the beast could only be found in men or also in women. “In both men and women traces of the beast can be recovered,” I replied.
Out of nervousness or fatigue I had to giggle a lot.
I give this reading an eight plus.
