In the summer of 2007 I gave a reading in the German city of Brunswick. In the audience I spotted a young, black man, who turned out to be a famous author in Brunswick.
Tonight he showed up for the reading as well – Hanover is not that far from Brunswick – he gave me a book with his poetry and half a bottle of red wine.
