"Summon a taxi, position yourself inside, request a long ride, OBSERVE THE METER."’

I’d like to add scene 2:

End the long ride at an upscale restaurant, order the tasting menu and a glass of champagne, ask the sommelier for a decent bottle of wine. Eat and drink. Don’t ask for the check, procrastinate. Finally whisper to the maître ‘d: ‘Apologies, but this was far beyond my budget.’
