Movers

Almost-Nakie

Saturday morning, the library on 5th Avenue and 40th Street. The early literacy program, for little movers also called toddlers. Singing and storytelling. And everything in between. My son is mostly interested in the other kids, but from time to time he is fascinated by a song or a stuffed animal. And early literacy remains a miracle anyhow, at least for me. The ethnicity is interesting, quite a few Asian-American families, even though this is not a particular Asian-American neighborhood. As a friend of mine said: 'In many universities and other institutions the Asian-Americans have replaced the Jews.' Good for them.
The same idea that ambition and excellence will be the entrance ticket to society. It turned often out to be a disappointment but it is still better than the belief that other people's pity wil be your entrance ticket.

My son was for two minutes or slightly less fascinated by the book 'Lucy's Lovey'.
I myself was intrigued by a baby in the book named 'Almost-Nakie.' But WaWar was fairly intriguing as well. (See picture.)
Prudish America always manages to surprise you.
