After a long trip I arrived in Sortland, a small port town in northern Norway, it’s already winter here. I came here to write about the privatization of refugee services, in other words, how to make money from a refugee? We should not immediately condemn this, in general people tend to judge too hastily, after all for quite a few sick and elderly people are a source of income.
Here in Norway a company that used to run hotels and daycare centers for children thought, why not buy some asylum seeker centers? This happens in other places as well, the UK, the US, to name just two countries, according to reports it’s not an overwhelming success. But we’ll see.
