Rain

Unexpected intimacy

Today, I walked with my companion (sometimes also named “Amante”) from Gstaad to Saanenmöser. At least that was the plan. Holiday means starting to work at 11 AM instead of 9 AM.
The rain took us by surprise.
We found shelter under a tree where a family with two young kids was taking shelter as well.
It turned out to be an unexpected intimacy, standing underneath a tree in a small forest with a family. Both parents were wearing pink. The oldest child asked: “Why do people live here?” Around 4:30 PM I was back in my hotel and I started editing my new novel.
