The classics II

Good intentions

The Nexus-Institute is not the only one who is worried about the disappearance of the classics.
In today’s New York Times Mr. David Brooks wrote: “The leaders who founded the country were steeped in the classics, Kennedy found them in crisis, and today’s students are lucky if they stumble on them by happenstance.” I don’t want t be one of those poor creatures who stumble on classics by happenstance.
As of today it will be one classic a month.
I’ll be my own Mr. Higgins.
