Last night I was not able to get a cab. A limo driver stopped and offered me a ride to 2nd Street and 2nd Avenue for twenty dollars. I accepted this reasonable offer.
“Do you mind the radio?” the driver asked.
“Not at all,” I answered.
The driver was listening to “Animal Radio”.
It was the first time ever I listened to this radio station and it was nothing less than a revelation.
Disengagement from reality has its advantages.
