In De Standaard van 31 januari 2026 verscheen het vierde deel van de essayserie over de zoektocht naar de lijn tussen de ene en de andere genocide, de noodtoestand als normale toestand (Walter Benjamin) en de transformatie van slachtofferschap tot moreel en politiek gereedschap. Eén weekend later verscheen het stuk voor het laten we zeggen Nederlandse publiek in NRC.

Today, January 31, 2026, De Standaard published the fourth part of the series From Auschwitz to Gaza, about the differences and similarities between one mass murder and another, the state of emergency as the rule instead of the exception (Walter Benjamin), and the transformation of victimhood into a moral and political tool. One week later, on February 7, the essay appeared in NRC for readers in the Netherlands and its surroundings.
