Existential

Mezze

Dining experiences in Dubai part three.

“See you on Thursday,” the bouncer at the observatory at the Marriott Harbor said.
On Thursday I’m on my way back to New York, inshallah.
“What’s happening on Thursday?” I asked.
“On Thursday there are many people here,” he said.
I had the feeling he meant something else.
Mezze, a glass of wine and some mineral water for one person at the observatory: $40.00 The mezze were just edible, but the white wine from New Zealand was excellent.

When I left the hotel some barely clad ladies with an English accent were entering the Marriott.
I’m not sure if they were looking for companionship.
To be barely clad in the U.K. is an existential thing. Only dying people put on clothes.
