Tonight I went to the awards dinner for the Vilcek Prizes at the Mandarin Oriental.
The food was good, the view was gorgeous and the invitees were mostly entertaining and pleasant.
At the entrance all invitees got a name tag.
For a split second I thought, I’m not going to wear a name tag. I hate name tags.
But then I realized that I’m a big believer in assimilation and I wore my name tag proudly all evening.
