Tonight I gave a reading at an Italian restaurant for a group of booksellers.
One of the booksellers offered me to become my driver. “I have a beautiful bus,” she said. “And my significant other can cook for you. He is a good cook.” I’m not sure if she was drunk. Probably she was just looking for entertainment; her significant other was present as well and he struck me as a decent cook and a humorous man.
