Arnon Grunberg

Pest

Peer review

Finally, I saw Paul Thomas Anderson’s movie “The Master”.
The movie got enthusiastic reviews in The New York Times (“It’s a movie about the lure and folly of greatness that comes as close as anything I’ve seen recently to being a great movie.”) and The New Yorker (We should bow to ‘The Master’ because it gives us much to revere”) to name just a few.
It’s definitely a good movie but a great movie? Peer review might be hard but being a guru with followers isn’t easy either. That’s what I learned from this movie. They can be a pest – these followers.
