I had lunch with a woman who is working on a documentary about the quest for a husband.
We asked ourselves the questions which season would be the best to fall in love.
I counted and most of my more serious relationships started in the fall, two started in the summer, one in the spring. The winter was a bad season for love, at least in my life.
The woman was on her way to Thailand and she said: "Perhaps I will fall in love in Thailand. Anyhow it's too cold in Germany, I'm looking for a good excuse to stay there till winter here is over."
"That's an excellent explanation for love," I said. "If your Thai lover asks "'why do you love me?' you can answer: 'Because it's winter in Germany.'"
