Subtlety

Eggs

Sometimes I bet. I don’t mean on horses or in casinos, I mean just a bet with a friend.
Last night I collected a bet: a dinner in Blaue Gans.
For dessert I went for the Salzburger Nockerl.
My friend said: “This dessert is not very subtle, it’s all sugar.” “And eggs,” I said.
“The eggs are just an excuse for the sugar,” my friend replied.
I never thought of deserts as being subtle and less subtle, I never thought of eggs being an excuse for sugar.
You always learn.
