On Friday night my Dutch publisher Oscar and my agent Ira threw a party for me at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
During a dinner after the party Ira said a sentence I will never forget: "Some people have arrangements."
Indeed some people have arrangements.
Some publishers have arrangements too.
